Book Signing from our own Historian Karen Helbling
Visit the Merrick Art Gallery on Sunday, October 26, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, for the debut of New Brighton Revisited and a presentation by author Karen Helbling at 1:30 PM.
Light refreshments and wine tasting courtesy of Deer Creek Winery will be available. Books will also be available for purchase on the day of the signing. Enjoy a free and fun afternoon reminiscing about New Brighton's history.

New Brighton Farmers Market
The Beaver County Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association has announced that the New Brighton Farmers Market will open for the season on Tuesday, June 3. The Market will again be located in the parking lot next to Family Dollar at 1235 Fifth Avenue and be open from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The New Brighton Farmers Market will continue operating every Tuesday until October 28.
As in years past, the Market will feature fruits and vegetables, baked goods, meat, honey, fresh-cut flowers, fully prepared meals, and bedding plants sold by local Beaver County growers and merchants.
Reminder on Yard Waste Disposal
Please do not dispose of grass clippings, brush, or other such yard waste onto the street. Diposing of grass clippings and yard waste can be accomplished by bagging the waste and placing it on the curb for your weekly garbage collection.
Board of Supervisors adopts Code of the Township of Daugherty
At their Regular Meeting held on Wednesday January 12, 2011, the Board of Supervisors adopted Ordinance 134, the Code of the Township of Daugherty. The new code is a volume of chapters based upon the original ordinances adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Daugherty. This legislation, has been revised and codified, renumbered as to sections and rearranged into chapters. The Board of Supervisors has made a searchable version of the Code available online through the use of General Code's eCode 360.
